Yep so close to finishing last night but a few things to tackle that we would rather not have to sort but rather than bodge it - do it right :) Was 22:16 when I got bk lol :P Have to say happy with the details and final design for the water feed to external wastegate - seems that having toooooo many car builds over the years and different engines in bits my big box of hoses came up golden with a perfect pipe to feed the wastegate, very oe! Now if Simon can only get his heatsheild back in time ;) :P Sarah always happy to see vx's go lol - but always another waiting to take its place :o DG

If i had a tubby this is the route i'd be going. But as i had a little na seemed rude to put all the effort in changing for forced induction and not go VAG. Can't wait till yours is done Si. Don't know if you know this yet mate but i'm coming round yours next week for a pax ride

Well 03.10 and just back from DG's! Its all in, all connected, oil, fluids, Clam on, everything... & the fecker won't turn over! TBH at 2.30am we just had to call it a day, earth, relay, fuse all check out so tomorrow will be looking further but its really 'lastminute.com' though if it won't start & misses the mapping its definatly not anything down to DG, he's taken what should have been a 2 weekend job and had to re fabricate nearly all the parts that either did'nt fit or were out of tolerance, re-work just about everything from dip stick tubes to waterway, sensors to oil lines, to get a real 'factory' finish on it for me all of which has taken many many hours, and now this which neither of us really needed! Will it be sorted - yes! will it be tomorrow - I very much hope so! but if its not its certainly not for lack of effort!!! Fingers crossed :)

DG's tried everything today two or three times, checked all electrical connections / relays / fuses and it won't start :( By removing the relay and 'manually' briding the terminals the starter motor works so its not stuck / broken badly earthed or the wiring to it, but something is interfering with the connection between the button & starting? ECU? immobiliser? we're VERY open to surgestions here :) Anyway no CS for me tomorrow :(

I don't really know what might be wrong, but couldn't you carry a spare battery in the psx seat and just start it with jump leads directly to the starter to a least get you to Norfolk ?

Bump start it and get courtenays to have a look at it when your there? Problem stopping for juice or if you stall though. Worth putting it out on the road and letting the AA have a bash? Rotten luck! How longs the waiting list for dyno time at the moment?

Follow the power. When button pressed does it send a signal to the relay. If no then button side, if yes then does the relay click and send power down to the starter?
