Just after a bit of info on the size fronts and offsets used by those on ATS DTC's? 7.5J x 17" ? Not sure on offsets though. Help P.S. Tyre sizes would be good to know too (215x45x17" maybe?)

They don't fit, are made of chocolate and will make your car smell of wet dog.

 I'm actually specing a set of wide TD1.2's as per the Group buy going on. My 7.5J 17" ET35 with 225,45,17" tyres fit on the front but will rub on full lock. I'm trying to figure out if I can space them out or if I should buy some new ones with the right offsets.

Look on the VX-performance website, try list the offsets on there. I would post a link but I'm on my iphone

I've seen people cutting front wheel arches for ATS DTCs (to achieve full lock without rubbing)...don't know if everyone has had to do it or not though

Cheers mate. It says ET20 on there, do the fronts fit without spacers? If so I will just get some 15mm spacers for my current ones.

yup they do fit front and rear with no spacers required. to fit the wider front tyres (215/45 R17) you do have to cut the inner sill face, rearward of the front wheels, to achieve full lock withuot rubbing. they look sweet though :)

Been looking for a cheap second hand set for a year. They now have German TUV approval, so they're not made of chocolate. Don't know about the smell.

Mine rub bad, but I never need full lock so doesn't bother me at all. They are kinda made of chcolate though! I whacked a kerb at Snetterton and completely buckled one wheel!

JimmyJam, is it only the fronts that rub, and have you fitted these?

I ask because if I get a set I wonder if it would pass the Swiss MOT.

Also, how can they be made of chocolate if they smell of wet dog?

...I now genuinely believe that if you track your car & have 260+ BHP that these width wheels & appropriate tyres will give you several seconds a lap improvement over the standard TD 1.2 combo sizes with similar tyres....The more power you have, the bigger the improvement. I would imagine the big tubby powered car's & 300+ SC cars will probably see the biggest improvement. Lateral grip is in another league & wheel spin dramatically reduced when full power is applied. Not to mention Instant improvement in braking....Do I need to say more? How do I know? Well, I've tried them & they ARE that much better. ...But, they do Rub on full lock with 215 fronts on 17" wheels & so too do the 245 rears, which under full load, did rub very slightly. The Kumho tyres on the wheels I tried did have very square shoulders though, but my god, I'm a convert! I'm buying 2 sets of TD 1.2's today in 7.5"x17 & 9"x17 with same offsets as the ATS DTC's & I'm already looking forward to my next track day! ...On the Road, I'm sure that they will be safer, if only the rubbing issues can be resolved. ;)

This is nice to read, someone who really has compared the different wheel sizes! :)

On thr front you have 7,5x17" with ET20, on the rear you have 9x17" with ET30, no spacers needed. And if you use 205/40-17 (Toyo R888, Kumho V70A) or 215/40-17 (Federal 595 RS-R) you won't have any rubbing issues. Same with the rear when using 235/40-17.

I'm using 215/40-17 front and 235/40-17 rear for years now, never had any problems. And with Federal RS-R they really grip! :)

I've got 215 R888's and they do rub on full steering.

But they look soooo good.

A friend with Kumhos does not have this problem att all.

Steve,

As Tommess said, Fronts ET 20 rear ET 30 as per ATS DTC wheels see link below.....

I may go for an 9x17 ET20 at the rear as I'm happy to lose my arches...

Steve & Steve, Guys, get the Kumho v70A's, I tried Joe's medium compound tyres & they're like moving up to slicks compared to my AO48's & they don't overheat like the Yoko's or go off as quick...There was no noticeable increase or decrease in oversteer or understeer which I was expecting compared to the AO48's, just massive grip & they were a good 2 seconds a lap quicker.... What tyres are you guys opting for? I wouldn't mind trying a hard compound V70A though, as I quite often spend long stints on track. Mind you, I've never tried wider AO48's, but I'd imagine any semi slicks in a wider tyre will probably be just as good. I also want to buy a set of wet weather tyres in 215 16" or 17 fronts & 245 17" rear....any ideas? They must be able to cope with semi wet conditions too... Max

Not sure on dry tyre but for all weather/wet weather I'm looking at Yoko AD08's or Federal RS-Rs. Am trying to work out if I can go 225 front 255 rear for dry. Might need some mods but if I can get it to work it will be awesome.
