So been to bed, couldn't sleep & watching BBC News. Great, just learned the US gov'nt has just sold its remaining shares in GM at a $10bn loss. So, not being financially savvy; the so called financial crash was allegedly due to bad debt? I know the UK Gov'nt has made losses in bailouts. What's the difference with gov'nts making massive financial losses & businesses or individuals on mortgages?

Read an article on the size of the Yellowstone volcano, the size of the magma chamber (mahooosive) and the consequences of an eruption.
This has not helped.

Hello and happy Christmas to you and yours. We opened our prezzys last night. Too much rich food and a snoring dog keeping me awake. Always sleep badly at psrents house. Are you sure it's not because your excited about the thought of opening your presents? Despite not much sleep because of the previous nights events, we're both awake here & haven't even got any kids to blame

Terrible heatburn
From a fellow sufferer - bisodol. All the other drugs with the heavy advertising spend I find are completely useless, but bisodol always works, although at xmas you might have to take more than one.
Can't get it here so I buy packs of the stuff from boots when I visit.

If you haven't already, please go get it checked out (all of you heartburn sufferers). I suffered for years and nothing touched it - literally a whole pack of Bisodol wouldn't touch it. Used to wake up feeling like I was going to die - thankfully it turned out I only have a hiatal hernia and my heartburn is easily controlled with Lansoprazol to slow acid production. Wife has put the prescription in a 'safe' place before going away and not told me where it is. Ran out 3 days ago and know today and tonight is going to destroy me.

That's good advice Boombang, but I've had mine checked and I don't have a hernia. I only get it with certain foods when I over do things.

Good to hear - diet controlled then? I can't touch any Indian food with sauce these days and relying on lactate tablets to get me through Christmas dinner. Over the past 12 months I've taken a controlled approach to my diet and worked out what I can and can't eat - Lactose, spicy and fatty food all set me off.
A hernia or food intolerance isn't ideal but it's far better than some alternatives and there is no benefit from leaving it.
My wife just called and the prescritpion is the side in the kitchen exactly where I would have put it

While it could be catastrophic if the super volcano did go off, don't it thrill you knowing the size & power? Barring in mind, it's only guess work?
