This is bollocks. Something needs to change.
And today it changed. Let's see if I can finally get some quality sleep.

Went to an "all you can eat" Brazilian meat place for dinner last night.
They kept coming round with some of the tastiest cuts of steak and lamb.
They carve it at the table and you use tongs to grab the meat as it falls off the joint.
Sirloin. Rib eye. Flank (which was the tastiest). Rump. Fillet. Lamb leg and a couple of other unidentified cuts.
I kept saying "no more" and "just a tiny taster, but that's my last", but it was so tasty...
3am, laying there in bed with acute meat-sweats. Even my pee smells like meat.
My morning poo may require surgery, or at least a three person tug-of-war team and a call to the water board.
I am going vegan. I may never sleep again.

I have great sympathy for those of you who suffer from insomnia. I'm usually asleep five minutes after my head hits the pillow, which is quite strange because I never ever feel tired. But the night Casino posted wondering where everyone was at 04.16 was a very rare exception. He nearly had my company, it was a toss up between reading a book or going on the computer. The book won so I read from 0300 to 0700 and then put it away and lay there for a moment thinking I would get up and go to the gym. Then I fell asleep.
The only drawback I have with sleep is that my jaw relaxes and drops and occasionally suddenly snaps back shut with a force of such intensity I could not match it when awake. If my tongue or cheek are in the way I end up biting them so severely it often draws blood and it's excruciatingly painful. It's so forceful that it cracked a perfectly healthy tooth in half and I had to have it removed. I've had surgery to remove scar tissue from one of my cheeks cause by this. The scar tissue was so protrusive I was repeatedly biting it and making it bigger and bigger. Scares the living daylights out of the missus when she's in deep sleep about 4 a.m. and is woken by me howling with pain, dancing round the room effing and blinding and clutching my mouth. The worst is to bite somewhere that's already been bitten the night before.

I went to one of those too about a month ago on Shaftesbury Avenue Steve. Same place? Was superb.
This was Braza Churrascaria in Lan Kwai Fong in Central, Hong Kong. It's a bit of a trek, but I thoroughly recommend it, if you ever find your self in the vicinity.
Not been to Shaftesbury Avenue for an age...
