Have a P0340 in Op-Com and want to go & check the wiring etc. I've tried a search & find some confusing info including there's only a crankshaft sensor & not one for camshaft (maybe for N/A). Anybody know where I should be looking? Thanks.

VXTs have only one camshaft sensor. It is located at the top of the engine between the two cam wheels and is covered by the black plastic cam cover. The loom has a plug that connects to it vertically downwards which you can very easily pull off and inspect. When you pull the lpug off check that the sensor itself is not rattly/lose as it is only held on with 1 bolt. Perhaps take off the upper black plastic cam cover and check that it is mounted exactly centrally between the 2 cam wheels. Or change it for a new one - it can't be that expensive.
