Not sure if it makes any difference but CF ran my gear cables between block and rear ARB but you have it on the outside of the bar. Undertray clearance might be tighter your way?

Ronnie will be cheesed off when he gets beaten by a 3rd different VX

C'mon Lee, get it right!

We are in Club Pro, Dazza is in Club. I agree with George, it is my times last year that will be an interesting comparison to Dazza's times. It is a shame we aren't visiting Anglesey again as that was me at my best last year.

I pray that my times this year are not beaten by Dazza otherwise we have overestimated massively what we are capable of.

Cheers for the heads up Steve. Liam was still working on the back end of the car as we didn't have the brace bar or toe links fitted.

You can get the brace bar on with a 2bular ? Mine doesn't even fit with the Milltek. :(

New design. Think they are looking at making them fit any vx with any exhaust. Toe links are a new design as well. Im sure once its all proven there will be plenty of photos of it fitted.

Battery was dead as a dead thing so had to bump start the car. Darron didn't even make it one lap without spinning off the circuit. Tyres were brand new and not scrubbed in, brand new setup, he's not driven it for a while and he's a little rusty. Plenty of excuses lined up for that one  . He stalled and car wouldn't restart so he got towed in.

So i took a trip out for a new battery. Bought the more expensive of the two batteries even though the tight arse wanted the cheaper option. Back and fitted then it was my turn for a spin (not literally?). Did around 5 laps and the car felt good. On the next lap the car started misfiring. We changed various bits throughout the day and didn't get a chance to rectify it before this

Posted Image

Car fractured an oil feed pipe and spat its oil all over the floor. This means we didn't try different setups with the handling and we still have the misfire. Good job were going to sort all these issues out before the first round at cadwell. We plan to do another trackday to sort any problems and try different setups before our next trackday at cadwell on the 17th. We want the cadwell date to be more about Darron getting comfortable with the car and a track he hasn't driven before.

Hopefully the next update will be some better news

Yeah luckily it seemed to happen in the garage with the car idling not on track under load. We were just talking about the misfire when the oil was noticed. I think MrSimba had the same pipe fail on his old engine. The oil leak isn't a worry as we can see where thats coming from. The misfire is more worrying as we haven't got much time to sort it and we don't know whats causing it. PITA having a car thats not aloud on the road so to test it you have to book track time :(

was it the shiny pipe that runs round round the sump from back of engine to the front to turbo. Mine split on the welded bracket holder, impossible to see the crack, hairline, just the obvious oil telltale.

That's good news. Worth getting the car and Liam to Bruntingthorpe for some logging/mapping? That way you can just hire circuit access by the hour/half day/full day.

Thats the pipe Steve. Its failed in the same place as yours next to the welded bracket. When you turn the car on the oil squirts out so it was easy to find. If a few have failed i may add it to my trackday spares.
