That's good news. Worth getting the car and Liam to Bruntingthorpe for some logging/mapping? That way you can just hire circuit access by the hour/half day/full day.

We have a plan for a test afternoon sometime in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully ill take my car down for spares, could of done with it at oulton.

Sorry to hear the test was cut short. Man that car looks good, well done all. Itching for the 17th now.

Battery was dead as a dead thing so had to bump start the car. Darron didn't even make it one lap without spinning off the circuit. Tyres were brand new and not scrubbed in, brand new setup, he's not driven it for a while and he's a little rusty. Plenty of excuses lined up for that one  . He stalled and car wouldn't restart so he got towed in.

Car looks sweet guys, love the splitter bolted to a splitter!
Where did Darren have his off ? Guess thats breaking the golden rule of trackdays to build up slow eh ?
Good stuff.

the off / spin could be suspension / bushes being a bit bound up from lack of use

Think he said it was Brittens chicane the one after shell. Bushes are brand new, shocks are brand new, tyres were brand new, car handles different with the LSD. Theres loads of things that can catch you out. Once its running right we can concentrate on getting a setup that he's happy with. Car felt very neutral and controllable when it started to break away for the few laps i did.

the off / spin could be Darron smacking it too hard.

That's better.

My bracket that holds the solid turbo oil feed pipe in position has also failed. I dunno why really, its not like its a stressed part. Must be a vibration/metal fatugie thing. Good luck with testing. So easy to spin these little cars, especially after a long while not driving them.

I didnt bother replacing it TBH. As I am currently wrigling about under the car at the moment curing my oil leak, I migh have a look and see if I can support it with wire or somesuch. It's been fine without the support bracket for 1000+ miles now, so I don't think it's a biggy.

Yeah we plan to but its not really a priority right now. Only takes 2 mins so can be done in the paddock at round 1. Is there plastic windows going into Max's car? Where did you get them from.
