GTD is undoubtably good. but £1700 for leather is pushing the boundaries of acceptability. I also think a change would be good.
Think i'm going to order an XE tomorrow (hopefully getting a little ahead in the queues).
It will be a 180 R-Sport (bit like M-Sport) that much is certain. Then probably a manual as the auto option is £1750.
Still undecided on colour though have been pretty drawn to dark blue since the beginning so will probably go with that
Hesitating between wheels too. i think the paris show car looks great on these:
But these are more Jaguar (also 19s)

James DO NOT order one with thong mining blingy multispokes.
The white car's wheels are much better. Blue with the 10/5 spokes

I'm tempted you know Graeme. Infact right now i'm on blue (as per above) rather than dark sapphire and those thong blingy multispokes

Are you sure diesel is still the way to go?
Gasoline is making massive inroads, and diesel is fairly static. I think there's probably a 10 mpg difference between them now, with the price difference in fuel (assuming fixed CO2) I don't think the operating costs are that different. Add to that the fact that diesel prices are going to take a kicking as more ship operators have to source low sulfur middle distillate fuel.
also, the alloys on that blue one look fcuking awful.

Petrol might be getting better real mpg but it still can't cheat the Co2 charts so for company cars, diesel is really still the only option (as well as petrol hybrids - but they do suffer horribly in real mpg terms especially on long 85mph motorway commutes)

Just had another check Tom, the only petrols that make into the 109 Co2 are all the ecoboost ford engines, the TSI VW engines and the 1.2 which nissan fit to the Cashcow

Clearly my rage got in the way of my eloquence.... should have said with those blingy multipsokes.
No idea what was on my mind... you'd think I was waiting on my 'birthday' present from Naomi or something.

Told you!
And if the Gman says it, you must be wrong james!
For a man that is normally so restrained in his car's image and mods James, I'm surprised that you're even considering these wheels.
a better view of the wheels...
It's a better view alright, I'll give you that. But not of the wheels

I like them, quite similar to the F-type's wheels here which i also like
quite like ammonite grey too (although thats a bit of a fail between bumper and body colour wise)

Yuck. Nope, avoid those.
I was mainly thinking along the lean burn Mercs, but if they're way outside of the CO2 limit there's no point. I will say that diesel prices will look pretty nasty when the crude prices recover though - all of the ships operating around the US and between Spain and Norway now have to run off diesel rather than residual fuel. That will have a nasty knock on effect.
