btw Lambert it better be good, i haven't seen one, let alone driven one and i've just started the process for ordering one. :o

Oh, you wanted a good car? Ah....

Should've gone for the new Golf GTD wagon then

It'll be fine; I'm not overly convinced by some of the interior plastics, and some of the switchgear, but it's a very emotional product and one that most company car drivers would be proud to 'own'. Clearly I had most of my fun in the 3.0V6 SC rather than the 180PS diesel, and I preferred the auto, but in the right spec it'll be nice thing.

Nice motor XE, be interested to see how it goes James...do you have a view on when you're expecting to get it? Currently using my not so economical Jag (XFR) is my daily...but after this year is up I think I'll be getting a company shed as my daily too (as much fun as the 5.0 XFR is...man maths only goes so far! :P)

All the Jag's seem to be a pretty nice place to be in cabin wise, I'm sure the XE will be no different...blue looks pretty nice too!

got bored of waiting to see an XE and the equipment on the A6 is much better for similar money (actually its cheaper than the Jag despite higher list price)

Question is though, is the estate worth £50 a month more than the saloon.

In short no. Not unless you REALLY need the practicality of the estate. The saloon still has a massive boot.

F*uck that, the saloon is under £380 a month on the company car scheme.

Agree, would love an A7, but not available to me though, maybe in four years time with a promotion ;). Although the interiors are the same.

the estate looks better, but it would be more practical only about 3 times a year.

The saloon will still make a perfectly good tip car.

You have a much better value company car scheme than me. They're charging me over £400 for a Citroën c4. I wanted the outlander phev as it's soo tax efficient and we only ever do short journeys but with only 5 seats it didn't work for us. Of the jag or audi - I'd get the Jag.. It just seems much more special.

Too many question marks over the jag at the moment and, its probably too small and too expensive, quality of interior . I've had the A6 for a week and it was a bit of a drag to get back in the golf this morning (its sooo loud on the motorway). Add in a very clever box on the audi, lots of kit (Led lights, high beam assit, electric boot and so on) that are not available on the jag and the A6 does make more sense.

Better looking car as well, in either saloon or Avant (Avant is best though). S-tronic/DSG is great too.

Is that Oolong Grey or whatever it's called, that you've spec'd it in?

:yeahthat:

Horrible, along with droopy arsed CLS's. The VW Pissrat CC is the only one that vaguely pulls off the niche-too-far 4 door "coupe" look.

Don't call it a Pissrat CC, as VW have dumped the Passat link as it 'hampers the cars image'.

i never understood why they called it passat in the first place.

I like the A5, CLS, A7, 4 Series Grand coupe and VW CC.

But the A5 and 4 Series are very expensive on the company car scheme (about £50 a month more than the A6 avant black). The A5 is also very old.

The CLS is obviously not available and is a saloon as is the CC (which is currently out of production while the new one comes in)

Its actually flat black, I really like Ooooolong and the pearl daytona but while they are free (company doesn't make us pay for paint) i still have to pay tax on the benefit.

I like black and i like white. Will probably go black as its a big slab of white (it will probably come white whatever i order anyway)

Black with black pack (grill, rails etc) piano black inlay. Very black.

Might go with the light grey interior...

Stay away from the A7 a truly horrid looking car and it already looks dated. The A6 is much better looking.
