Seeing as all the talk is about the National at the moment, I thought Joe and I could have a thread as we are to be sadly excluded due to an unfortunate clash of dates. Don't have a lot to say really at this stage just that I am excited to be involved in TA again for next year. Roll on the new season.

I'm hoping to get along to one this year, to see what the fuss is about  Will be interesting to see how Joe gets on. I guess JJJ will be able to provide some insight, but equally Joe has been around a lot last year so I guess it's all good.

Joe is an excellent driver and one that I would happily let out in my VX at any circuit and with the experience he gained from being in the pit and ultimately being the backbone of the second half of the season, he is very well equipped to do well. The amount of effort and attention he is putting into his car for next year is very impressive and so far it looks sweet. From my point of view in the pits, the support we got last year was brilliant and really helped the team to the success Jimmy achieved. Looks like we may be a little light on support for the Bands Hatch round though.

So Mike, are you pit crew this year, or will there be two red (pink :gayfight: ) VX220s out on track in 2012? G

I don't have the finance in place that can make participation realistic.

Yeah, unfortunate timing and a shame I won't be able to be there and a shame you guys can't be up at Anglesey. Is it a double header again this year?

:yeahthat:

I won't be at Brands unfortunately, but will be at as many of the other races as I can. I offered to help Jimmy plan out the season's accomodation and stuff to try and keep the costs down and also to set up a fan page so people can follow what the team are doing. This offer still stands for you guys, let me know what you need me to do.

Brands is just a single header this year so for those with a sense of adventure, it will be possible to do both the National and TA but it will take some commitment I reckon. I am assuming that Joe will be testing on the Saturday so I will be with him. We are still waiting for the TA calendar to be confirmed, I only got the Brands date as I leant on Glen a bit.

I don't see why more people won't be able to because there are a lot of southerners who surely will have to pass by brands on the way back. Will just mean leaving at stupid o'clock as according to google maps it is like 300miles That will probably be 3 tanks of fuel with new engine if i am giving it the beans

Worry less about the fuel and more about the excess consumption of alcohol the night before. :drink:

if the past 24 hours on the forum are anything to go by, the next 7 months is going to be unbearable, so this thread will be our solace, or we can talk about the next euro trip, spa , or wherever

Well I doubt I will be at the National (not having a VX being the main reason), but if there is no clash with the Wedding and Honeymoon, then I will endeavour to pop to Brands Hatch and offer help (probably more crowd support) that I can.
