There's no doubting the noble is awesome but no way I could be arsed with all this! I like to just turn the key and drive off onto the sunset rather than turn the key, stick all the bits on that have fallen off, put out a fire, tighten the engine back up, spend a grand and then drive into the sunset :D

Definitely makes it a weekend car as monday-friday are tinkering days. Therefore keeping fuel cost down (chuffing 10mpg). Got my shell statement through. £4.50 voucher from the 3 summer months motoring. That's a lot of money spent haha.

I can push 30mpg at 70 on the motorway but as its mostly used for playing that figure drops pretty quick!

You been out properly in the gallardo yet? I really can't wait till the summer, I hate it getting dark at 4. Really wouldn't mind it if they changed the clocks so it didn't get light till 10am

I've done a decent round trip to the docks in London via the M3 & M25 so got about 230 miles in it there and back, that was very nice! Especially going in the tunnel!! Other than that I haven't driven it at all. With rain, snow etc its sat in the garage, it's now got a flat battery so I'm waiting for a mate to come and put a power pack on to get it started then I'll hook it up to a trickle charge for the winter, hopefully only a few months to go then I can get some driving under my belt. I've got to get it back to BHP soon for a check up because its a bit clunky going from 1st to 2nd gear that I'm not happy about....also I keep getting an ABS light coming on after a it of hard driving but BHP are fantastic and will fix any issues. I still have my Nole for sale at BHP!! I could really do with selling that to get some money back!! How's your Noble? Had much driving recently?

Aren't these a car where you never want to change the battery? When my battery died on the VX, the AA man said that it was the 2nd most faffy battery location after having to have a Lambo's chassis cut into so they could dig the battery from inside it.

He could have just been talking shite.

I've not touched mine for over a month now but hopefully will do tomorrow, weather dependant. The gear change on it can't be any worse than the nobles haha. Is it a manual or flappy paddle? Didn't know you still owned the noble! Good lump of money sat there waiting haha

The battery was a piece of p*ss so the AA guy was talking Shite or I'm just a bloody good mechanic! (Not!) I've realised gear change is actually perfect u just need to let the bloody thing warm up for 30 mins before you can change gear! It's stick not paddle. Didn't want a paddle I think it takes the fun out of driving & I've heard bad things about early Gallardo paddle shifts. I've been out every day in it for the last week, loving it I have to say, balance, power & luxury, it's my perfect car I'll keep it at least a year!! ;) It's so much easier to drive fast than the Noble but I understand that's because I'm not a brilliant driver!! Sorry Goose it was a flying visit & I didn't even know you lived by the docks?!? When's the next meet? I'll bring it along & take you for a blast.

Broke down for the first time ever earlier this week. Pulled up at some lights and it cut out and wouldn't restart. Couldn't hear the fuel pump so thought it was something to do with that. Rush hour out of Doncaster though so wasn't making any friends. Although seemed to get more than my fair share of girls shouting encouragement Got 2 coppers to push me out the way, opened the back and the fuse had blown to the pump. Stuck in the fog light one and went on my way :)

Valentines day present turned up for the car today. New front and rear towing eyes in stainless steel as the old ones were cheese.
Dropped them off at the powder coaters to turn them red. Get them back next week :)
