I've just read the whole of your thread, brilliant! I've always had a soft spot for a Noble, it's on my list, but i'm a bit apprehensive now after reading your thread. I don't live that far from you, I'm just off jcn1 M18. I would'nt mind meeting up sometime and have a look around the Noble. I'd be interested to see how it compares to my 280bhp Audi powered Elise ;)

I'll keep an eye on the weather and let you know! I'm only home at random weekends as I work away through the week. Couldn't be arsed to plug it in after using it last sunday and got home to a flat battery. So 4 days. Its back on the charger now but think I'm going to have to pull out the multimeter tomorrow and have a look. Apparently the interior light relay is problematic. Bloody ford parts.

So, after the other thread about battery issues ive pretty much fixed it. The battery was a Bosch silver 075 which was new in May. So i looked at there being a drain, it was only 60 milliamps so not enough to drain that quickly so i look for that anyway. Found and old tracker and removed it so it dropped to 20-30 milliamps. Took the car off the battery conditioner and connected the tester, it said the battery was fine which meant i may of had an argument at halfords if their tester said the same thing. But left it off the charger for the last 4 days and getting back today there was still power in the car but it wouldnt start, so removing that little drain helped. Removed the battery though and retested it. Its a 600A battery and the tester said it was 10.4v, only 110A and had a dead cell and to replace. So im a little happier now as I should have no issues getting it swapped tomorrow. Only 7 months into the 5 year warrenty so plenty of time left :) Hopefully will mean i can go away in it and wont have to plug it in at a hotel/friends house.

Fitted the new battery today and while refitting noticed the centre relay had 2 wires which looked like they had snapped off from somewhere.

The build manual says its the start relay but its starts and everything works so I have no idea.

Then finally got round to squirting as much dinitrol cavity wax as I could into the chassis. Squirted for ages yet only used a little bit. Atleast theres some in there I suppose.

Well thats a bit annoying. The battery is completely flat. There must be a drain that isnt apparent until its stood for a few hours. Got it on the trickle charger with a second battery to kick start that. I'm going to have to put the ammeter on then leave it a few hours and see what happens. I left it a while last time but maybe it does take a while longer. Bloody annoying this is! Just hope I haven't broken this battery by it going completely flat.

The power from the battery goes to 2 places. One being an 80amp maxi fuse. The other being the cable to the starter. Pulled the fuse and it was still showing the same drain. Disconnected the battery and disconnected the cable on the starter and reconnected it all. Its now showing a 10ma drain. About to reconnect it all to confirm it comes back but why the fudge didn't it show last time?? Wonder what's up with the starter to make it do this!

Reconnected the starter and its showing a 240ma drain now. Leaving it to settle while I cook a pizza. Then I'll disconnect and see if its gone again. If so ill have to take the starter off and take it to my refurb man. Hope its not a new one needed as they are about £350 :(

Well my starter refurb man thinks theres nothing wrong with the starter and it was a coincidence that the drain disappeared when Itook the power cable off the starter.......3 times. He says theres no way anything in the solinoid or starter can short to give a drain. So do i just go back home and refit it and get the same test results and burn the car?

Is it just something (like the Audi does) where certain circuits are energised the soon as you unlock the car and remain energised for 20 minutes after you've turned the ignition off.

Thought it was a possibility so left it for an hour and nothing changed!

Fcuked up alarm/immobiliser as it's the starter circuit?

If you disconnect the starter from the circuit is the problem still there ?
