Er. . .Not sure if attaching the Pics was the right idea??? Did try to copy & paste.

You need to host them somewhere (photo bucket or the .org gallery) then link to them thumbsup

Thanks

Where is it you can get the ats alloys from I keep forgetting anybody now ?

Here's the website
http://www.ats-wheel...emid=58&lang=en
The German Ebay is where I got mine.

There's also vx-performance.de/ - eur 800 now. Thinking of buying a set.

I still can't help think that there are so many powerfull VXes (ie 300 BHP+) around now that someone needs to come up with a whole new setup to vastly increase the traction we all need. I know a few people have warned of not increasing wheels/tyre width too much due to losing some nimbleness and finess, but you only have to look at GT cars and how much rubber they have. Just based on that very basic premise it seems like VXes need a lot more, particularily on the back end. I find Nipper squats down so much when he's booted that there is plenty of weight over the rear axel, however the lack of grip is what limits traction and security.

I agree with everyone so far that this thread is actually very useful, so cheers for the pics and the scoring system! Now then, this maybe a stupid question, but please bear with me- I've got two spare standard rear wheels-can I simply stick em on the front for r17's all round or is that just laughable, will rub holes in my arches, reduce turning ability, kill me on the first corner etc. etc.? Cheers!

I only now for a fact about TURBO wheels no others. If you are talking standard Turbo rear wheels ET 30, then yes, they will fit straight onto the front hubs with 215/45 x 17 tyres with NO issuse. If you want to use 225/45 x 17 tyres then you will need 3mm spacers for extreme lock and again have NO issues. NO other mods needed here if you are running at standard ride height, or up to - 25mm. With 215 front and 225 rear it will be pin sharp if everything else is right. No tramlining or tug to left or right, also it will eliminate the touch of understeer that these cars have as standard and when pushed hard. In short, a very good and cheap upgrade. Now some will scream too heavy........conkers! They only weigh in at about 11.5Kg. bare, these are road cars for heavens sake. Eat less pies if you are that troubled by a few kilos. Or swap out the battery for a lightweight one etc etc. A very good and cheap tyre is the Nankang Extreme Sport NS2...not the NS 20........... at about £45.00p each inc VAT delivered from a lot of e-bay suppliers. I am not trying to say that they are in the Yokohama league, but they are very good tyres. Also a Nankang, because of its side wall vertical wall type will allow one to use a 235, and they make it, rear tyre on the standard turbo rear wheel rim. Korkey.

Thanks for the post Korkey.

I have to ask, there are other wheels you can fit 215's on that are made with the VX in mind, specifically ATS DTC's. Yet they are known to rub at full lock unless you fit wheel arch cut outs. Given they're meant to have the right offsets why do they rub when the standard rears fitted to the front don't?

That was the thinking behind the Deutsch forum coming up with the Rial GTR's and the ATS DTC's. They do the job brilliantly too!

Agree with JJJ, I got my DTC's 2 years ago, still very happy with my choice. Looks, light weight, high grip, some say they are a bit delicate but the roads I've been on with mine on are really bad, ask VXTyrant about the roads round by my house that I have to drive everyday. I've had no such issues with the DTC, now done around 20k on them in all weathers and all roads, all year round. The only bad thing I have to say is the flat spokes do pick up brake dust and road grime worse than some. Oh and had to make the cut outs for the front tyre clearance when using 215/40's (yes I have started yours, you know who you are :P)
