Well it has been some time since I updated this thread and to be honest, it is quite some time since I have done anything at all to the car. It is common knowledge that Elise Parts are supporting my entry into Time Attack but what has not yet been confirmed is what class I will be entering. I can now announce that we will be running in Club Pro 2WD which is shaping up to be the class of the championship in my opinion with such folks as Romain Levesque, Gerry Atkinson, Bo Nielsen, Gordon Wright, Richard Marshall in a new build MK6 Gold and Charlie Butler Henderson in the HEL Honda S2000. We will really have our work cut out if we are to fight for wins but hopefully with the planned improvements we will see a significant reduction in lap times. Lee, we need to talk in more depth about what we discussed at Autosport International... So anyway, the work. We started stripping this morning and have all four corners off the car, both clams, exhaust and manifold. Tomorrow the rads come out and hopefully the engine, box and rear subframe. The gearbox needs to slope off for a bit of a refresh to cure the 3-4 crunch but aside that, we will keep the engine intact. It is the suspension that is having a make over with the GT uprights and EP full house brake upgrade which will transform the car and should get it up to Jamie Wilson 2012 levels. The work is happening at a new place very close to Elise Parts on the trading estate in Kimbolton and I have to say how amazingly spoilt I am in having a proper workshop to play in, beats the hell out of laying on my back in the snow (see Chris' post above; it really was minus 12 centigrade). I have shot some pictures but the gallery is dicking about so I will have to upload them later. The roof and rear panel have now been dropped off to the painters and we are looking at possibly developing an improved aero package. We will be going standalone but at this time we are undecided which one we will be using, an adapted version of the EP Plug and Play for the Lotus or a Syvecs unit... time will tell. It is exciting times and I already cannot wait to drive it.

Yowser. In with the big boys and the other mental Frenchman (that doesn't have a yellow VX). I hadn't realised they lumped the FWD and RWD guys together in one class in Club Pro. Gonna be interesting times ahead! thumbsup

Do you know if Ronnie is entering again in 2013 and if he's still in Club RWD?

Same old, same old.

Just wonder whether he's in danger of getting bumped up a class as he and Mike were so closely battling when both were running well.

Ronnie won't get bumped up and I don't have to move up but there is nothing to prove in Club for me.

that car last year was very competative both teams had their misfortunes but at the end of the day it was very close.

Ive been watching his progress on facebook and if hes even made his car a bit better darren is going to have all on winning.

Dont forget we only started winning after the harrop so darren needs at least 330bhp and a lightweight car to match what mike did last season, now ronnie has upped his game whats darren going to need to compete?

Lets get real, ronnie isnt and wont be a push over.

I dont doubt darrens capabilities on the track but to just assume ronnie will be a walk over is very naive.
