Might take that off your hands, if it's complete, Mike. thumbsup

Yup, subframe looks better and I prefer the welded in section over the brace bar every day.

Doh. Didn't even notice that. :o

If you've deleted the charcoal canister make sure the tank vent vents to somewhere safe, out the bottom of the under tray maybe. Also do you have a role over valve fitted too stop fuel leaking out? I don't know what they have as standard, I have one of these http://www.merlinmot...oduct_info.html

Yup they have a roll over valve. Also the canister is deleted however this vents directly to the tb :)

Still have the roll over check valve in place but not vented tank to atmosphere.

Don't vent tank straight to T/B as it will suck to much air from tank needs to be teed in before T/B trust me ;-)

would make for a interesting idle, strong vacuum pulling fuel vapour from the tank

It does run through the black thing with wires on it first, does that make a difference?

Mike, if Matt sells or sets fire to his car (out of hatred for it) before then, then I'll have them.

Cheers

- On a side note I'm loving the little updates via facebook, with the pictures and everything. Keep it up.

Getting there Mike, good work. Looks like you'll be done in a couple of days and then you can crack on with mine!!!!

Bit of a boring bit to look at really, but that subframe doesn't half look a million times sturdier than before. That's going to make a shed load of difference.

Has your wing turned up yet??

J

Just spotted that modded subframe in the pics. Any more details on this?

Just a welded in plate that gets rid of the need for the troublesome brace bar which doesn't stop the subframe flexing.

Another day at Matt Bentleys place and we have been busy bunnies. So; plumbed in the oil cooler which we missed yesterday. Cleaned up the charge cooler rad and bolted it to the new Forge radiator. Fitted and plumbed in the cooling up front and bolted down the rad surround. Fitted the pull fan on top of the engine rad. Fitted the front wheel arch liners, relay and fuse boxes. Fitted the front clam. Mounted the fuel pump. Tidied up the wiring in the front end. I really don't want to write a list of things still to do before we test on the 17th March.

Because we have dropped the car 40mm through the chassis using the EP Tuning GT hubs and want to run the car at 60mm front and 65mm rear ride heights and the 17" wheel is simply too big to get in the arch now.
