Yeah obviously if you fitted a smaller pulley you can get more power but you can do this with standard ecu

Of course I can but as we all know, without the Dutch software the standard ECU is limited in its tuning and where it can be tuned.

Anyway... Why don't you keep the same setup however switch to the standalone ecu? Therefore keeping the same power level but being a much safer map as fuel is spot on etc

The sponsor was sorting that out. But if this is the case why not just say?

No worries, sussed it out.

Nice total weight.
I'm working the last weeks, and I think still other 2 weeks, on my setup and so I have some questions to you.

How full was the tank?

Is this your final setup?
I want to explain my question.
I've the same problem, like I see by you, the car is balanced on the front without driver.(I think this weight is without driver!)
With weights on the driverseat (to simulate the driver weight) the balance is 20 kg more on left (LHD) than
on the right side, on the front and and the rear axle by my car.

Weight without driver:
front:169kg 169kg
rear: 252kg 249kg
Total 836kg

With 90kg weights for the driver:
front: 203kg 182kg
rear: 280kg 261kg
Total 926kg

I tried to set the high so that the sum of the diagonal weights is equal, in my case 462kg to 464kg, and I hope it will work fine.

Do you setup your car in the same way?

Weight was with no fuel or driver.

The car will be set up as is with no driver to ensure each corner has the right amount of preload and contact patch. It is too easy to get really hung up on trying to get everything spot on and to be honest, with this car at this level, it simply is not worth the time, effort and headache.

Can't understood the sense to setup a car without fuel and driver.
You use it with fuel and driver....or not?

What is time differenz to setup a car with fuel and driver weight and without?
The same or not?

I thinked your car is on a very high level, you don't think so?

Just think about for a minute... You cannot move wieght about by adjusting corner weighting, all you can do is even it up. If you get the proportIons right, adding weight (as in fuel and driver}) is not going to change this (or more to the point, not in a way you can adjust for)

If you sit one side of a park bench, imagine what you would need to do to get the loading on the legs even. It wouldnt be more stable would it? That's a simplification but what I always think when thinking about corner weights.

The diagonal weights have to be the same. Front left with rear right and front right with rear left. If you ad a person the difference change! See my weights posted with and without driver weight.

The ECU and sponsor is there it is a question of time and making sure the car is ready for the first round.

I just can't risk getting a stand alone fitted and wired (aint plug and play) and for something to go wrong or not to work.

How about you test it on my car first ;-)

See my weights posted with and without driver weight.

Then you did not have the proportions right to start with.

Obviously if you move the centre of gravity (by getting into it) , then obviously the numbers will change accordingly.

Nobody ever gets anything you say.. :s Anyway, surely having a driver in whilst corner weighting would be better than no driver, why not just get some bags of sand in the drivers seat to act like a driver and set it up from there? I understand you cant change the weight but when the driver gets in its weight on one side, would this not effect it? I dont know much about corner weighting other than ehat ive read on the internet.

"Nobody ever gets anything you say.. :s"

Just FYI - You do seem to get confused bloody easily..... bit of the old "pot calling the kettle black"

I personally never have a problem with any of Scuffers posts, and I'm usually face palming as you go off on one...... so I'm sure there are others thinking the same thing!

Just seems a bit one sided here!

No worries I don't mean to be nasty.... I just want to make the point that you can't have it both ways.....

You can't ask someone to explain something to you.... then have a go at them because you can't understand what they have very kindly taken the time to try and explain!

That's all.
