I have a 2ublar setup and 2" primaries ( from the original thread) into a 4-1 collector (on over nearly 4 year now) with a 130mm cat Jim sourced for me.

Mikes is not helped by being a miss-match port wise...

his is a 4-2-1 where they have paired 1&2 and 3&4, quite what they were thinking I don't understand... (if you're going down the 4-2-1 route, it's 1&4 and 2&3).

Also, looking at them, I don't think his primaries are 1.75", they look smaller than that (that said, I have not measured them).

Realistically, 3" is plenty big enough for 400+ hp, as with most things, it's the detail in the design and construction that are key.

All that said, it's making decent power and to be blunt, it's not lack of power that's holding Mike back (when he gets to the point that the logging shows 70%+ of the lap time on WOT, that's the time to chase more power)

Well said Simon, it is not lack of power that is holding me back, it is confidence and skill.

Saying that and to answer Nev's question; no amount of power is too much power until the power overwhelms the chassis.

Was it allowed in Club Pro last year?

What do you hope to gain with it, a boost to mid-range torque? If so how does the car compensate, or is the map already a little extra-rich and the boost of oxygen leans it off into the 'power' afr band?

I am very new to this concept so please excuse the dumbness of my question if it is so.

I think it's to cool the air, not for any specific gain.

It is a wet kit so the extra fuel is injected as well as the Nos. It will help cool the intake temps but it is there for power hike on the longer straights. It is misted post filter pre-charger on the intake pipe.
