Most N/A applications only get 'near' Volumetric Efficiency of 0.9 at peak torque (which is actually just after it appears on a power curve due to losses) Some might be lucky and hit 1.0 (100%)... others like F1 cars with fancy aero and ram tuning etc can get a bit more than 1.0 In a boooooosted application its 1.0 or more. The bigger the VE with less boost = a nice and efficient engine. Low VE and high boost = a limit somewhere. Its all a function of intake temps, pressures, capacity and revs. Matt, I can sell you some VE... sausage and egg roll for installation

Got a mornings test at Snetterton tomorrow which should give a real chance to run the car through its paces and an opportunity to see back to back times. Fastest lap last year was 2:07.632 we would have needed a 2:04.2 to beat Romain there last year.
