What happened to the guy that was sponsoring you a full stand alone ecu last time I was at matts?
Time was not on our side Joe, we needed it running.

Not guilty for once. Banging round Corum at just over 100 I hit some oil, no worries as I held the slide and was quite happy until there was a Norris Evo sideways across the trank and another on the grass on its way back on circuit. I thought the grass was the best option even though it did rip one of the splitter supports through the clam.

even though it did rip one of the splitter supports through the clam.
Very clean and small rip.
I would have expected quite a big backplate behind the clam to handle the force.
Posted 10 June 2013 - 10:01 PM
then it would just rip a bigger hole out of the clam.

Ah, like our oem trackrods; designed to snap under stress.

Probably not have ripped a hole at all with sufficient support.
Did the dive planes make any noticible difference?

The front felt more planted on the higher speed corners and less prone to understeer; on the hairpin, nowt.

TMAP you need anyway.
(you run a smaller SC pulley now than last year? So more boost.)
FYI, I just asked Peter if maybe something is possible for you...
Cheers Exmantaa,
I take it the T in TMAP stands for temps as it monitors intake temps and therefore has another wire?
Posted 11 June 2013 - 08:30 AM
yes you take one of the wires from the sensor in the intake pipe, so you only them measure the manifold temps
Posted 11 June 2013 - 08:39 AM
But you shouldn't use the T in the TMAP sensor without a remap, as it'll be measuring inlet temps post-SC rather than your current map which will be setup for inlet temps measured pre-SC. Obviously, with the car suitably mapped (or running the Dutch firmware), it would be much better to be using the full TMAP functionality with the inlet temps measured post-SC in the inlet manifold.

The fueling/ignition maps should not be compensating for the true value of T after the laminova's have changed the air charge , that function is already handled perfectly well in another map table. So imho fit the TMAP with the existing map, it just might fix the over fuelling problems.
Posted 11 June 2013 - 08:51 AM
So why not fit the TMAP and not use the T function, leave the T pre charger and have the benefit of the higher spec boost sensor?

Or... Go back down to the 2.9 pulley, my old map (which didn't cause these issues) and just switch on the gas when needed?

All i know is that you were very happy with the car last year.
With this years extra skills hardware and earo that combo should do just fine.
Only fiddle with the hardware that´s map related, when you have the dutch stuff. (either soon or next year whatever)
Would hate to see this experimenting destroy the season.
