Your cars are worth 50% more than ours to start with, so you have to pay a premium for anything else for them.

I have to say that I had never been to a tuning company in my life. I do think and please, no one shout at me, I never felt very confident at courtnays for some reason. The whole process seemed very un customerly. The chap there was chatty (cough) but the whole tuning process seemed naff. I recall that when I asked what was going on they replied that the guy in Germany was busy. I doubt I will go back there again even though I only have one other choice now.

I can see why you say that goose but Mark on the desk is really nice when you know him, I guess he can co e across as a little standoffish but it isn't reflective of him. We all have to sit and wait on Stefan in Germany a d it is why it takes so much time to map a car there. It is as frustrating for them.

I get it, really I do. Mark was lovely if not exasperating :D I think, perhaps in my naivety, I expected something else. But as I say I had nothing to benchmark with.

At least the coffee is free and the wireless works. You had to pay at TMS and use one of JT's cranky old desktops for internet access. Still had to wait an interminable time for Superchips to hook up remotely and do their thing.

Scuffers is trying to politely say *cough* turbo power

far from it.... I have compared Mikes Video with the data I have from Jamies car, and the last thing Mike needs is more power. in straight lines, there is very little in it acceleration wise, the *HUGE* difference is corner speeds. to put some numbers to this, turn 1, Mikes braking before the 300 board, and turns in at ~80Mph I was braking after the 100 board, and turning in at ~95Mph (we both clock about the same speed over start/finish line) by the time we get to the braking zone for turn 2, Mikes at ~107 vs. me at ~121 do this all round the lap, there's your 10 seconds.

Now we are half way through the season I am having a nose back through the thread and came across this. Simon was bang on.

Finally got the car running again after the ecu went off and we changed pulleys. Fired up on the button and no fuel leaks where I have been buggering about with the injector rail and injector plugs. Effected a repair on the front clam and refitted the splitter support; pretty it ain't but on, it is. I need to go back to Chris' pm to see what else is on the list before Oulton in a few weeks.

First up, a massive thanks to the crew, Matty, Chris and Dean for giving up their weekend to come up for testing and TA at Oulton Park.

I had not driven Oulton Park before so the Javelin day before was  perfect for getting to grips with where the track went. Chris, Matt Bentley and me shared the driving and despite a hot, hot day the car ran well.

Come race day and the temp had dropped but we just couldn't seem to find the pace and only managed a 1:54 which gave us 4th in qually and final and just 90 points.

Well done team.

Not the end of the world by any means at a track you didn't know. At least there was no problems and you got more seat time with this years mods  thumbsup

Plenty more rounds to take the win  ;)

How come you splitter looks like it is bowing downwards in the centre Mike? Is that an optical illusion from the camera angle, or deliberate design, or is it loading up and bending due to air pressure?

It's like it static as well, I noticed it in pictures the other day, I'd imagine it aids aero some how...
