Don't think it was meant as a negative/slur... Merely that most if not all (excluding you Simon) will not visit this thread on this website - to note the gratitude he was giving. All too easy to miswrite & misread meaning.

To be fair, Simon does have a point.

 

He introduced Geary to me, he brokered the deal thus getting my wife to agree to letting me run again this year. Simon specc'd the car, the parts and the dampers. He set the car up and was fundamental in the build of the bloody thing.

 

He picked the brakes, the compounds and sizes. He developed the lengths and valving and set up of the two way Quantums and there were loads of jobs he got on with whilst I wasn't even at the workshop.

 

Think of Simon what you will but Time Attack for Team VX in 2013 would not have happened without him.

 

Now can we move on from wishbones please.

Spot on Coco! :lol: Losing Joe on the spanners was a big hit to the natural chemistry of the crew and no doubt put extra pressure on Chris and co. on both counts of attendance at the meetings and knowledge of the car itself ETA, I know how crucial Simon's involvement was in both the inception of the 2013 season and developments of the car. Joe did possibly bait him a little, but in the end up, if Simon had a little more tact, the team would have performed even better imo
