Had an hour this morning and the pax driveshaft decided to be a bugger. It got to the stage where I was beginning to thing the Quaife needed different drive cups. Ended up doing a strip down and fitting a spare drive cup separately and rebuilding the shaft. So instead of both shafts, only one got done and that needs finishing off. Why are things never easy on these cars?

How was it a bugger? My offside driveshaft doesn't fit as well as the pax side

Just didn't want to locate for some reason. Still on and all done now. Both driveshafts are in and the box is full of oil. No leaks and the clutch still works. Managed to tidy up some wiring today as well and moved the relays on to the bulkhead above the ECU. I finally feel like things are taking shape. Next off is the roll cage, hope to have that in in the next couple of weeks along with the new race battery and fire extinguisher Whilst the chassis is away, I hope to start prepping the rear clam..

Do you mean 'click' in?

What did you do to make it fit?

Yup, click in. I used a replacement drive cup and it went in OK but then I had to build the drive shaft in situ.

Dont under estimate what you've done. The suspension alone is a ball ache! You certainly have my admiration.

Cheers Matt, it is nice to get some encouragement. The cage fitting feels like it is the big one and after that things should rattle on pretty well. I wish I had the Dremmel skills or at least the courage. Hats off to Joe for what he has done, He has my full admiration.

Mike, I found the 'to do' list really helpful when building my rally 205. I lost interest big time but having everything written down and seeing them being crossed off made me feel like I was making real progress. Mine was 5 sides of A4 though!
