About time for an update but first, I want to thank those who have made this plan possible. Jimmy-You done good this year, the little help I gave has driven me to have a go Joe-OK we will be rivals but team mates, the help and support is appreciated (as is the bits, the help and everything else) Matty-Your faith in what we can achieve gave me the push to go for it Gaz Shocks-for the support, for the encoragment, for the sponsorship and for the shocks Stingray RV-Simon knows he will probably get little from it but first money from him made me commit Space Innovation-For coming out of the blue with the £££ to make it possible, buckety, buckety, buckety boys, let's go racing. Rear subframe is now off and I realise how little there is to these cars. Broke a sodding silid brake line in the process and a bit miffed but now we can start the rebuild. All the rear wishbones will go off for shot blasting and powder coating and I have found a place in Luton that can do it. They seem to know the score and have done plenty of this sort of work before so I look forward to the results. I have booked in for the cage in the New Year and the car will be away for three weeks so that will be a good time to concentrate on the power plant. I have had the begging bowl out around the industry and secured a race battery and some essential mounting bits, I have mates rates on bits as well such as the fire extinguisher and my new drivers seat and subframe. Ordered my new wheels as well for TA as the standard issue TD's will not allow me to run the same tyres front and rear, these will be made to order over the next few weeks and should be with me by Autosport International. March seems a long way off right now but I will sure as hell bet, it will be here quickly enough.

Just managed to squeeze an hour in the garage this morning. Rear wishbones are stripped and ready to go off and the new rear subframe is on.

Good effort. At this rate you are going to embarrass joe with this formula: T = A / W (Time Taken = Amount of work to do / Work rate) Yes his A value was higher, but his W value went through long periods of 0. ;) :P

Loving the work Cliffie! This may be a really daft idea, but I am sure if you were to set up a blog with photos and a 'just giving page' many members here would sponsor you with the odd £10... A bit like the racing for Holland thought; many smalls create a substantial amount of money? My £0.02

Jamie lad, glad you've decided to enter again :) Will catch you in the paddock next year thumbsup I'll have a word with Glen and get you garaged next to the team :)

What are Time Attack rules? What makes Jamie a Pro and Cliffie in AM (I assume?)

Jamie was in club class when he originally entered but there is a rule called the three strike rule where if you finish with a time within 5% of the winner in the classification above yours three times in one season you are promoted to Pro class. Jamie's car is about 500bhp/ton and Jamie can drive so he got some greatr results and was promoted (against his will).

Wahoo. On the way to work I dropped the hub uprights and wishbones from the rear off to the powder coaters. Will be back in time for Christmas.

It just helps keep them nice for the long term. Mine were blasted, plated...twice(!!!), passivated and coated. Hopefully I'll be rust free for a while.
