I have to agree that looking at some pics of your car at speed, you seem to look took heavily loaded at the rear as the back-end seems pressed to the floor, whereas the front seems to riding much higher. I appreciate that when accelerating their will be lift at the front, but the difference looks too much. I am not a racer, nor mechanic - but have very good observation skills and I am a good learner. Is your aero-set up so you can adjust, or is it fixed? The Sierra, by comparison, looks to have some adaptability and maybe he has been given some coaching on how to make the most from it. He looked pretty damn quick at Snetterton last year, but constantly looked like he was having to fight his way through corners as the car looked to be unsettled

The Yokos are doing fine, would be nice to have a new pair of rears for Snett and Anglesey if dosh allows. Ronnie is on 888 dry and his Pirellis wet. Thanks for the compliment on the driving Jimmy, you missed yourself out of the list however. Back down to the garage for me, loads to do.

I used A021s in the wet for the second time yesterday, got to say that in very cold or wet conditions I've not found anything close - a far better wet tyre than a road based offering.

Cams won't go in coz the Cam-miester is busy and can't fit me in before my mapping slot. Rear will be hiked up 5mm in the new geo so should dispel the rear end issues. 103db at Knockers and brands are strict on noise. No track days for me I am afraid but I have saved a Db or two with my little mod. Chris, need to get to Brands for tuition which is where I think the best money is to be spent, that and a can of tyre softener...

What's the noise limit (and price) like at Brunters these days? Might be worth a half day for set up.

Mike do you think your car would benefit at all from dive planes on the front like a lot if the Evo guys were running.

I am sure that there is a lot my car could benefit from but as I said earlier, I am the key to improvement, I can do better.

Anyho, gluing aero bits on without propoer ways of analysing are pretty pointless (a bit like my vortex generators).

If others will match it, I'll put £20 of my own cash into a kitty for a new set of tyres for you Mike.

Plus if I can help with any sponsorship then I will.

What I meant, but didn't phrase it very well is,

I'll start a new tyres pot for you fella, with £20 of my own cash (so just need 19 others to do the same and the VX brotherhood will have helped). Man we pay £12 a year for the privilege of this owners club; if you stick your car on the podium at the end of the season that should help 'naysayers' who diss the lack of a Lotus badge... Though that may be a detrimental thing when I come to buying again.

I don't mind donating £20 to go towards tyres if I get to design a logo for your car ;)

Whats wrong with your current rear tyres? Or are you on about swapping tyre make? You love brands so hopefully you can get a result there. Then the other two rounds are double headers, if it rains at one of them then we look good for double points. Be interesting to see how reliable Ronnies car is over a double header as he seems to do as little running as possible before something breaks. I still think you will be on top at the end of the season but it will be close. Makes it a lot more interesting having a decent battle each round than it would if you had taken both rounds already and look favourite for the title. Weather and reliability will shake things up a bit before the end of the season. You still have the cams to go in for the last 4 rounds as well, think positive!
