Sod the tyres, soon you'll have enough to buy a harrop... then we'll see who has the power advantage!!

Blimey, that's a brilliant show of support if ever I've seen one. What a forum/club !!! I would have said the same thing regarding what to spend money on first, as new tyres really are a great asset and also give you a big confidence boost I find. It would take a fairly hefty hike in power to make it worthwhile over this and you're a long way off Ronnies 550bhp anyway. Brands should even things out for us lower power, lightweight cars anyway. I'm just sticking with my heavily used tyres for all the warm-up and practice sessions, test days etc and then swapping over to the newer ones for qually and finals. I'll be at Brands next Thursday 28th to try and get my eye in again. I've now got some really serious competition in the form of 2x really lightweight Evo's with around 800bhp. I can't get anywhere near them down the straights so will have to rely on everything else I have. I've been under 50 seconds before with a passenger in 2010 so just hope I can get my act together this time around. See you there, J

I am on holiday that day otherwise I would be there with you. Interestingly though, Rob Boston is there supporting a customer and he is currently mincing the oppo in Elise Trophy. He offered me help in set up if I could have made it over. Maybe worth meeting him.

As for the support, what can I say. These are such a great bunch of guys on here and the support from all and even some I have never met, is overwhelming.

Having had a quick nosey through RA's own thread on PissionFord, he sounds to be in need for some new tyres as well... Let's hope he doesn't get the same support. I am going to have a read through his build log and see what I can uncover that he may not have already shared. :ninja:
