If that similarly applies outside the car, Techie will be on this like a dog on heat.

I can't see why it wouldn't have the effect outside as well. This could be the M62 drive by issues sorted out.

That sounds hopeful Mike. Given it's BTCC heritage, does it come with the kind of price that only (well financed) BTCC teams can afford?

Interesting.
Always thought the noise triggering the meters on track was the exhaust.
You feel like the sc high pitch noise could also be blamed?

It doesn't help and I think it might have been a problem for me at Bedford Autodrome once. Still think the bulk of mine is exhaust related but, if the enclosed filter knocks the Stage 3 noise back down to Stage 2 levels or less, it'll do my sanity a world of good.

I've got none. :) If it makes you feel better, you can bill BVSD for £3k and pass the money on to me. I accept Western Union. thumbsup

Tried that and can't do it without moving the ECU and can't be arsed to disturb that.

Ooooh, I love it when boxes arrive.

The new air filter arrived today. Foam Vector filter in a ceramic coated airbox. This is the same filter tht BTCC boys are using this year.

I might be able to help here. Pipercross sponsor our BTCC Golf so I might be able to do them at a discounted price.

I'd certainly be interested Mike/Ian. Not particularly fussed whether it's bare stainless or coated. I've had a few chats with Ramair over the last couple of weeks and was almost set to drop the car with them for them to fabricate something suitable (their biggest universal enclosed kit is only really suitable for 250bhp despite the blurb they mention). The contact I had there did come up with a decent enclosed option that they made for a Ford tuner that was good for 400bhp and might work for us. Got any rough dimensions for it?
