Ooooh, I love it when boxes arrive.

The new air filter arrived today. Foam Vector filter in a ceramic coated airbox. This is the same filter tht BTCC boys are using this year.

I might be able to help here. Pipercross sponsor our BTCC Golf so I might be able to do them at a discounted price.

That may well be the best route to VX owners Ian, nice one.

I have spoken to our suppliers and am awaiting a return call with prices. It only comes in one size. 100mm inlet and 75mm neck. As it is a Motorsport Filter it doesn't come with a fitting kit so would require brackets etc fabricating. Rob I can't see why not as our BTCC Golf is a Turbo and none of the other BTCC users have had any issues.

I will put this up in the group buy section too.

It is only available in one size which is 256mm high and 153mm O/D with a 75mm neck and 100 mm cold air feed inlet.

The RRP is £300.00 inc VAT. If I can get 5 orders the price is £270.00 inc VAT.
I will also do free postage to any UK Mainland address.

Filtration expert Pipercross has released a fully TOCA-approved filtration package that complies with the latest regulations whilst offering significant flow improvements over any previously sanctioned filter.

Hand finished here in the UK, the BTCC homologated part features a double conical high-flow filter construction affixed to a full radius aluminium spinning. The lightweight outer housing is fully ceramic coated to help further reduce intake temperatures. Following feedback from race engineers, this outer housing is secured by over-centre clips, rather than bolts, to allow for rapid removal and cleaning between races, or during set-up and testing.

Thanks to its unique construction, the total filtration area is an impressive 810 cm², despite the filters external dimensions only being 256mm high by 153mm diameter. The inlet is the required 100mm, with the outlet dropping to 75mm, as per current turbo regulations.

During extensive flow testing, Pipercross recorded some compelling data. The best of the 2011 approved filters showed a depression of 1,686 pascals at 188 litres/second, whereas the new Pipercross package proved to be less restrictive, registering only 1,471 pascals at the same rate.

Although the C7000 is aimed primarily at TOCA constructors, it can be used for any high performance race, kit or tuning application.

Ramair would fabricate one to power and space requirements (I want an 80mm outlet to match my intake) and make a suitable filter to match, for a similar amount. And they (reckon they) make some for DTM and WTCC cars so none of this namby pamby BTCC stuff. :P

£80 + VAT for the enclosure
+
£85 + VAT for the filter element

So more like £200.

I'm not sure, 250x150mm is actually really huge The ITG ARAB80 has similar sizes but is already 180£ + VAT and is not coated...
