harry, the reason is i only have a short time in the uk to buy and 'mod' my car so i need to get everything sorted now so when i return from afghan its alot easier and also i wont be bying one if i cant get the rear louver as im not a big fan of it without one,
LPS why are you part of a specific car forum if you dont want to talk about them wether its buying, selling, customising or even just where youve been in it, if you dont have any helpful info id rather you not comment of this forum as you keep sending me to sleep because you are that boring!!

Thankyou for the reply, but, and its a big BUT, short time to buy and mod seems bl**dy stupid to me and nigh on near impossible with all the things you want to do..and if you want a rear louvre then go buy a Lo*us or Corsa/Astra, or old Cortina's came with an optional one if I recall.
If you really do wish for assisatnce and advice then I suggest you open up just a tage....it stops some of us being Miss Marple
Out of curiosity what regiment, company or camel train are you going to Afghan with, you should be aware we have a couple of squaddies in our midst who could look out for you
Happy Hunting.....where ever it may be

When or more importantly if you do indeed purchase a Vx ( and i recommend you do) come back in a few years and see if the distinct lack of enthusiasm for people that cba to do their homework or possibly even use the forum search facility before jumping in with the same old same old questions.
Honestly, it really does get boring. I appreciate we were all there once, but by Jazus sometimes it just gets on my tits.
