due to the detonation I have seen, I would not risk the mapping on a sc engine with an unknown factor.
AFR is easy with a wideband, but your sparktiming should be somewhat correct for the SC and closely monitored during mapping...
(Do you have an OpCom? Then you can log for knock.)

IIRC that's how TMS started off doing the NA remaps before they bought a dyno.
You can map an engine on the road however it really requires an additional wideband lambda sensor to be installed to make sure the mixture is correct esspecially with the lack of real control of the Z22SE.
However it will be good if MMG can map them as CMS is along way from civilisation which a few years ago didn't mean much but with the increase in fuel prices it can add hudreds on to the cost of a remap.
CMS are a long way from civilisation also they have a very long waiting list.
An alternative tuner would be welcome.
Kind regards, Paul

I asked about a bhp read out on a dyno and he said he records his bhp figures whilst driving.
right...

I ran my engine lean as you like at Knockhill and it melted a piston. The engine was never right after that I'm afraid
How lean did you run it??

Too lean that's all I know. One piston melted and there was det everywhere.
So are we convInced that this map sensor is the correct one?
What is the final part number so I can price one up?
