Sorry to arrive to this so late, but I came from a supercharged MK1 MX5 to a VX Turbo.
The heater was brilliant on the MX5. I preferred the gear changes on the MX5.
I find that the VX is a much more raw driving experience, but both have been great fun on the track.
If you're not worried about the heater, aircon, or power steering then I think you will love the VX if you're moving over from an MX5.
