sorry to hear about the arsonist but look on the bright side, you now get a house rewire to current spec which is alot safer :) anyways... that intake manifold looks awesome! is that designed for the z20?

Latest design of manifold, given the C20LET and Z20LET are so similar and all the work is done by hand by him , apart from the plenum, really should not be a problem to mount the plenum facing opposite.

sorry to hear about the fire!

this looks shiny, but doesn't look very good for even flow flow distribution butween the runners TBH.

I knew that even flow distribution would get mentioned,

a pic of the plenum interior, you can see the velocity stacks , afaik race engines that have been design by cosworth that are turbo'd they use trumpets that protrude into the plenum

tbh , unless you chop the boot there isn't a lot of space to get long inlet runners, with the alternator and oil cooler taking up room

How come you lot run really baby tbs? Is it because the pressure is much higher? I hardly know anything about tubbies.

This looks far better for even charge distribution. Have a look at the FPA inlet. This uses a cone-slot-plenum to ensure even charging. I did a lot of research into this ages ago and can look out some dimensions if you need.

I can lend you an engine crane but I'm a looong way from you. Useful if you know anyone travelling around but otherwise completely useless.

On an N/A as long as you get equal MAP to atmosphere when at WOT then its big enough.

This is a turbo'd Cosworth Focus rally car, you can see just how long the runners are on the exhaust manifold

this is a side entry Cosworth IM, its a interesting layout

would be good to see the tapered cone details , looking within the insides of the plenum to see if they have wave guide vanes, pulse tuning

I appreciate the offer of the crane, the problem is lack of a workshop, otherwise I would nip out to toolstation and get one.

The cosworth one is also a type of double plenum and would achive a similar flow distribution to a cone and slot arrangment.

Main issue with a side entry is that all in most of the other LET engine installations then it would need to enter from the other side than the VX, which is IMO why Klassen and EDS have stuck to central entry.

Good news , we now have electrical supply connected to the mains , the decorators and plasterers are progressing well. But contractors still have not started work on the exterior fire damage, so its still weeks away from handover.

So that means I am/am not (delete as applicable Steve) competing in Time Attack this year.
