So there is the breakdown. The grey vote killed it.

At the same time, the large majority of people 16-18 haven't a clue (I'm not saying all, just most).

This applies to anywhere in the world. They will be voting on instinct and with their hearts rather than relying on facts.

What is the source of this data?

It's certainly an estimate wherever its from.

Ah Ross, thought maybe you had sore fingers from playing yir flute all weekend :P This report is a bit tabloid is it not? I seen the interview on sky. It wasn't nearly as sensational as this would make you believe. He's keeping the heat on, as he should.

Was a tough weekend. Nearly singed my favorite Gers tap burning all those Saltires...

Pressure is one thing, but alluding to not accepting the results of a democratic vote, and declaring "this is not the end" does nothing for Scotland in the long run, other than pander to those who are feeling argrieved about having lost their "one chance"...

In other news, Tory slave-drivers got one up on us!

Here's another news paper other than the Torygraph:

http://www.scotsman....dence-1-3548270

Mr Sillars tweeted: “Let Yes assert new indy rule – no more ref – majority votes and seats at Holyrood 2016 enough.” He later added: “What’s this about a waiting a generation – indy remains on agenda now”.

Sends all the right signals to the world:

"Come invest and live in Scotland - we don't care about the majority of votes, we can just blame other's and declare ourselves 'Independant' when we want.."

How far our so-called political leaders have fallen..

Westminster parties better get their arses in gear then  "The vow" and all the spin in the last two weeks before the vote is what won it for them. If they renege then what is the public opinion?

Agreed.

Disagree.

I think it did help, sure, but I'm not sure it was the major vote swinger many think it was. It was a good thing though, as can you imagine what it would be like with a 48% Yes / 52% No...? The BS vote rigging thing would have taken on a life of its own, and the "recount or revote" thing would have haunted us for ever...

See Tommy Sheridumb has asked Yes people to abandon labour and support the SNP (independnace at any cost Tommy?).. Great way to gaurantee a Conservative government at the next GE!

I think the public from 'rUK' will be really miffed if there is another referendum or other backhanded method of going independant in the next 20+ years.

I know I'd take a much more 'Pro UK'/'Scottish interests not our concern' approach. I'd expect the UK government to do everything possible to ensure the UK got the best possible outcome, regardless of impact on Scottish interests. Through thick and thin and all that. Fair weather parners shouldn't expect any favours when it comes to business...

On a lighter note, if there is another Referendum on anything anytime soon I'm going to see what this chap has to say  :)

http://www.bbc.co.uk...gazine-29314400

Could probably use this to his further advanage and set up business giving investment advise (of the can go down as well as up variety).
