He didn't win over any friends in Lewes. They're burning his effigy.
21st Century, who'd believe it.

Brilliant... That will get the Nats back out in force - they need some fresh material to complain about..
"An effigy of David Cameron holding a "puppet Nick Clegg" was burned in Lewes in 2010. Other effigies in previous years have included Osama Bin Laden."

With the huge reduction in oil prices, I would wager that the "yes" campaign are already secretly pleased they lost. Suddenly Scotland's most valuable asset is now not so.
Sad for the families of employees of the industry which is now in crisis.
But great news for us motorists!

I timed buying a 5.0 litre tw@-mobile Mercedes to perfection.
Maybe I'll have another holiday in Scotland with it, now I can afford to fuel it.

Yeah I'm really sad for all the contractors earning £60/hour instead of £90. The industry has been stupidly over inflated in Aberdeen bubble over the last few years. With the huge reduction in oil prices, I would wager that the "yes" campaign are already secretly pleased they lost. It's a nightmare. My brother-in-law had to take a 10% drop. Down to £540/day. How will his local Cheshire economy be affected? So many knock-ons from it. :sadface:Yeah I'm really sad for all the contractors earning £60/hour instead of £90. we are not all on stupidly inflated rates.. But yeah, I agree a bubble has been created that's ready to pop.. The cyclic nature of the oil industry though - either boom or bust..
Lets hope the Tory's are as business-savvy as they claim to be - now would be a good time to reverse some of the tax hikes the industry has taken iver the last few years... I doubt a iScottish government would have been able to afford such cuts, but who knows...

From Neil Oliver in the Independent.
I don't like nationalists So my goat has been well and truly got over the past 18 months by the independence referendum. I don't like putting new lines on maps, breaking up countries into smaller parts. And I don't like people who bang the drum of their tribe, thinking that the coincidence of where they were born confers superiority on them: it's not where you start, it's what you do with the rest of your life that's significant.
Have the might of all those SNP MP's managed to force Dennis Skinner from his seat yet?
