Lets turn this around and put it another way?

Would it be great if "another political party" the "I'm English and sod the rest party" came along in England and when they won a majority and could make it part of their manefesto to ditch SCotland, Wales, and Ni to get on with themselves...cast them adrift and they sink or swim.

then what would the PC, do gooders, Robert Green haters ;) do then?

Close the Channel Tunnel is what I say!

List here for the IEASTRP
1.

I don't hate robert green :S I was taking the p*ss out of your goalkeeper comment

I'm undecided on it TBH and i'd relish the facts to be laid out for me to make my mind up, but alas even the date that has been chosen suggests that if this does happen it will be drowned out. It is possible to be proudly scottish and not vote yes to independence IMHO EDIT : If this information does exist why is it not published on the SNP site? Surely that would be the logical place for it ? Ive just been on and there is very little for me to get my teeth into. Yes there's a nice booklet but none of the sort of financing calcs im looking for .

Either way, if it devolution did happen and the Oil&Gas was attributed to Scotland (doubt that would ever happen fully), then the Rest of the UK would lose out on a LOT of money. Just been reading a few bits and pieces on this and it seems that although Scotland may get a little more, outside London the Scottish contribute more to the UK economy than anywhere else in the uk. There's a lot of conversations on whether this is because oil&Gas are attributed to Edinburgh. Seems the weegies p*ss most of our money away on benefits though!

Now what if Orkney and Shetland went for independence and took all the oil and gas LOL Last thing I remember seeing said that england gave a lot more to Scotland than they got back. So as you say a few facts may be handy Oh and you can keep the oil just keep the whisky coming our way. (but not the Islay stuff) LOL

I don't see how Scotland can self finance given the size of population. Alex Salmond is relying on taking all the money generated from oil but that will ultimately run out!

:yeahthat: We have about the same population as Denmark and a higher population than Norway. To give two examples. Neither are struggling to survive.
