I can only judge by what I hear on the news and a couple of friends who live in Scotland. I hope the Scots get Independence if that is what the majority want. The Uk is pretty indifferent to be honest. There is a general feeling down here that we will be better off too if it goes ahead.

It'll only take a 18 months to separate one of the most integrated modern countries in the world, sort out shares of debt, assets and facilities through hard-ball negotialtions with another soverign country, define, set up and have an entire country of systems, departments and regulatory bodies ready to go, negotiate terms with the EU and its memebers, NATO and many other international organisations, all with the efficiency, panache and clear focus that the Scottish govermnent has become widely known for...  

 

Oh and we'll do it on a budget of £200-250 million (or groats or whatever, who cares?!)...
