Its a very good point and one that has been said a lot of times before. Theres got to be a reason behind the scenes that we're not partial to.

Employment law is reserved for Westminster as is benefits.

So what would Scotland do if it had full control of employment law or benefits..?

Ps.- I'm not even sure some of this is not partially devolved, and the Scottish parliment couldn't do something about it

Something just occurred to me that I can't seem to fathom out.

Let's assume Scotland get their independence (we all know it's going to happen)

Now let's assume two other things; Scotland brokers a deal to join the EU, we finally get our referendum and vote to leave the EU.

Assuming we don't completely close the border between England and Scotland (something we've been told will never happen), how do we control our borders from EU migrants when they'll have free roam of Scotland??

They won't want to leave Scotland. By then it will be the paradise Salmond says it will be.

Its a question thats been posed but no one really knows the answer to that. You're right though, in such a scenario, EU migrants could travel to Scotland and use it as a back door to rUK (assuming rUk voted to leave). In such a scenario there would have to be some form of border control. Its likely a common travel zone such as that adopted between the UK and Ireland would be adopted, but that may not work correctly in the even the rUK left the EU..

Two things though - Scotland is unlikely to leave the UK, and the UK is unlikely to leave the EU..

All very unlikely. But if it did happen, I assume you would get similar situation to France with people trying to smuggle in. Would have to put serious border controls in, which would hit trade. What would be the route to Scotland?

I imagine the Yes document is very similar in the opposite direction...

Does the totally impartial Yes lot outline any cons to its plans?

I'm not suggesting it does. But to present the above document anyother way than HM Government produces document which suggests hm government should stay in control is silly.

To summarise: Document from UK government campaign doesn't support the SNP's utopian view and is therefore dismissed/ignored/glossed over by Yes campaign.

Nothing new there. Ends.

Sort of techieboy yes. I'm not going to go over every page of this and rebuke the statements but it offers nothing new.

Quick question was anyone expecting this document to say sorry guys, you're right, we're wrong. We're all voting yes too...?

I didn't read any of it as sadly I'm kind of past caring now but good to see the default position of sticking your fingers in your collective ears and chanting "la,la, la,la, la, I'm not listening" is in full effect.

You are suggesting the document is simply from a campaign group, they are bound to say these things and so the content should be dismissed.
