It's ridiculous that it wasn't shown outside of Scotland. This effects the whole UK, so why did the BBC choose to hide it from non-Scottish?
It's being shown on BBC Parliment channel tonight at 7pm I believe..

I'd choose pasetas.
Everyone loved the paseta and it reminded them of holidays. Spain aren't using it any more so we should use it.

I'd be pretty sure Heineken will deal in Euros to a massive extent.
It's fairly simple, we have conversion rates built into our main systems so they can cope with most currencies. Mostly deal with GBP though unless exporting.

Aye its exports I meant. Even small companies like Tullis Russell in Glenrothes mostly export have been using the EMU and now Euros since the 90's.
you can say that about lots of companies in lots of countries all over the world though...
Where I am now deals in JPNYen, Euro, GBP,USD etc
Where I was was mostly an exporter and they dealt in Kronererere, euro, USD and some GBP....
As per the fun thing you started on FB, it seems that those who might have a tinge of biggotry (spelling) about their motives are for it to "stick it up em" in that there London

bitcoin is silly, but the sentiment stands... a global currency would make things somewhat easier

Euro. Long term its the best idea. Many companies have been trading in Euros for years anyway. Easily spun to be terrifying by the no camp though.
I suppose its the best selection if you are happy with the eventual European super-state (don't worry, they'll "add our cultural and societal distinctiveness to their own"), and the restrictions on spending commitments, banking regulations, national debt levels, etc. that Scotland would have take, whilst shunning the currency of our largest market.
That doesn't quite square with the idea of increased democracy and flexibity to "reshape" society anymore than being in a Sterling currency union with all the restrictions that would bring... But lets not let facts get in the way of desperation and allocation of blame to the existing "system"..
The transition is not necessarily straight-forward or cheap however, and I recall a few years back talking to an Irish friend about the switch from Punts to Euro's and there was a general feeling that most things went up in price after the change-over, perhaps by 10% (anecdotally).

also, its rather an amusing idea to "leave" one mean and nasty union to join a (potentially) nastier union
