I watched Liverpool loose to Man City.
Wish I'd watched the Salmond-Darling debate now, maybe it would've been less painful.
Or maybe not.

I think some of the reaction from those south of the border to Salmond, what he says, and the style of the debate, indicates the potential level of animosity from what would be rUK voters, and how any potential future negotiations will certainly not be easy or in Scotlands favour once political pressure is exerted on those in the rUK government not to concede on things that may materially effect rUK.. Will see how the currency union talks pan out then huh..

According to the polls, that debate had an impact.

Not according to Alastair Campbell... Salmond may have won the 'debate', but it supposedly had no effect on voting patterns <- of course that was by a 'better together' candidate, on the BBC.
Animosity towards Scotland is something that has hardly been allowed to be discussed... It could be have been a massive thing to overlook.

Salmond definately "won" the spectacle that was the debate, but he never really won any arguments as such that I recall.
He will state he got an admission that we "can use the pound" (which he didn't really, he just said we can use it informally, which most people know) ut all the believers will be celebrating this as some form of turning point..

Straw poll at the lunch table today 9 No 1 Yes. That was not what I was expecting to be honest, I guess if you went into any ex mining village the same poll would be 1 No and 9 Yes.
Still bored of it all though as nothing new has been said in ages - only 3 weeks to go.
