The station is gone now.
Jack Vetriano, who is from Methil painted this:

A couple of years before it was knocked down. Wind turbines. East Fife stadium and business park there, plus the docks.
You get back up much?

The Queen was visiting Scotland and Alex Salmond called by. H.M.: "How nice to see you Mr Salmond." A.S.: "Nice to see you Ma'am. Now, what are we going to call Scotland when we win Independence? How about calling it a Kingdom, and then I'll be a King?" H.M.: "No, we don't like that." A.S.: "Alright, so how about calling it a Principality, and then I'll be a Prince?" H.M.: .... (thinks).... "No Mr Salmond, I think we should call it a Country."

Yeah that's a bit sneaky.. haha.. Although its certainly keeping it simple for some of the more "basic" individuals..
Still, the originally proposed question was I believe quite loaded in favour of yes, until the UK said "haud oan a minit..", "Do you agree Scotland should be an independant country?"
I think they're be scuffles at those event's.. Or as we like to call them in Scotland, 'A good day oot!'..

I mean who's going to go to see Farage anyway..? Just people intent on sending him home or causing hassle mostly.
Who's going to attend an OO march - Same people that usually do, and those wanting to cause a bit of hassle.
No "normal" people will actually attend either...

Now what if Orkney and Shetland went for independence and took all the oil and gas LOL
How prophetic...................

Interesting response from the Scottish Government - The petition was closed as the government indicated it "did not support what the petition seeks". The irony is pretty impressive!
The BBC article on this (which seems to have disappeared) suggested that 65% of the oil field is within Orkney and Shetland waters. Can't imagine why the SNP won't let them have their own referendum!!!

Its a one man petition which later had some other 135 signatures. You should check the population of the Orkneys, Shetlands and western isles and see where 136 people fit in.
What's really happening in Shetland http://www.shetnews....-althing-debate
A whole massive 150 people in a meeting???? Jeees, I can see how that's so much more representative of the population than that petition!
The point wasn't the number of the signatures on the petition, more the reason for the SNP to close the petition i.e. we don't agree with it, therefore it's not going to happen. If the reason given had simply been the number was too small that would have been perfectly reasonable, but to simply say its not happening because we don't agree with it surely goes against the whole raison d'être of the SNP.
