I've not seen it on this forum - it's been a nice friendly debate.
So who exactly said this?
Dunno, it was a quote from a guy on a forum. Maybe he was lying. Maybe he was politically motivated. I don't think so though. You've not met any death eaters - do they not exist? Was JK making it up?

Was pleased with £4k profit last year. Similar to buying and renting a low end house near me without the hassle. Oh and my brother got over 10 percent the year before which is why I went for them as that's not badI'd have withdrawn it long before the referendum if you were with Scottish widows! Very very poor returns on pension savings over the long term.

Ok, 4k sounds good but depends on the pot you've got. 4k on a 50k pot is very good but on a 100 or 500k pot is not. Size of your pot?Was pleased with £4k profit last year. I'm looking forward to swingeing duty increases on imported whisky now there won't be a whingeing whisky producers lobby to pander to, every budget. The House of Commons/Lords bars can just make do with the stuff from that distillery in Norfolk as the UK parliament can't be seen to endorse foreign muck. Can do the same to Heinepiss too.

Sorry Dunk, alcohol fuelled banter is mostly all I do, now I'm off for some Co Codamol and a Red Bull for breakfastHere's an observation which is unlikely to be popular on here: The only whingeing I've spotted in this thread has come from people outside of Scotland. That and extreme bitterness. Very little debate. Very little good-natured banter. Where's the .org love it's so famed for? I genuinely do not personally know, nor have I had contact with even a single independence supporter who is anti-English/rUK. The reported, quoted & imagined whingeing & anti-English comment and feeling is from a tiny minority of tw@ts. Everywhere's got them (EDL/benefit cheats anyone?) but as usual, the eternally sensationalist and often biased press focus on them to the exclusion of representation or reason. The internet, its social media and all the counter-productive forums continue to amplify these morons' voices disproportionately. The bile and uninformed bollocks I read from some of the contributors on here and elsewhere is pretty fcuked-up and sad. As far as I can see, this, far less than anything happening in Scotland, amongst Scottish people is what's driving a wedge between out nations and is what is in danger of leading to a 'fcuk you' vote. How about backing away from your overworked keyboards, phones, tablets and alcohol-fuelled conversations, sitting for a few moments in quiet contemplation and then resuming normal service? Peace out.

I'm sorry but very few scots can take the high ground when it comes to things like an anti approach to Scotland by England fans.
I have been in many a place where England would be playing another team where they have always cheered on the other team, any team, though they may not be Englands intellectual finest, theyre doing nothing worse than the Scots do every time we play any sport.
When working abroad on and off for 3 years all I ever met were Scots so proud of there homeland, it was also the place where I realised the only people who called them selves British were the English. These are obviously personal experiences but from working with them in Scotland or abroad I have never felt any warmth coming Englands way and maybe they'll just be happier without us.

The size of the Scottish financial sector as a proportion of the onshore Scottish economy is around 8 per cent – similar to the UK – and smaller than the UK at 6.7 per cent when a geographical share of oil and gas output is included. In contrast, London accounts for around 50% of UK financial services GVA. In addition, in 2010, Scotland accounted for 7.1 per cent of UK financial services GVA, below a per capita share. Such issues are perhaps clearly summarised by the fact that in a recent experimental series of tax revenue statistics, HMRC estimated Scotland’s share of the Bank Levy (a charge on the balance sheets of banks) to be 7.3 per cent of the UK total 2 . This is in sharp contrast to the near 25 per cent which would be required to be consistent with this earlier analysis by HM Treasury.
