Waitrose only have one shop in Scotland lol
Yeah, I can't imagine the residents of morningside will be overly concerned with their local Waitrose prices, when their finance jobs are at risk..
Few John Lewis's though..

Take that back, they have 8. I've only ever seen one
Do they? I have only ever seen one in Edinburger, when I dropped off suspension to Nicol and got lost, then very hungry..

Well we can start by offering any good reason why the prices would increase?
Off the top of my head..
Increased transportation and distribution costs
Different corporation tax arrangements
Duplication of accounting or operational structures
Different wage structures (we'll get paid more apparently)
Different employment law (business will price in for potential increased cost)
Its not a make or break one of course - you are not going to vote no because a tin of beans goes up 10%...

Morrison's have said they might even decrease.
Morrisons prices are going up all over, they've just announced sh!t profits due to the supermarket price wars.

The supermarket price myth has been busted a couple of times.
How's that a busted myth? That says they might have to look again at pricing in light of differing taxation and regulation policies and prices may go up, down or remain the same.
That's exactly what the woman in Ross' link was talking about. Only put an optimistic spin on everything and rubbish anything that says different. Just like the introduction of the Euro across Europe where it would have no effect on pricing according to the powers that be, except everything got more expensive overnight.

The SNP have promised loads of things, most of them entirely unachievable, but anyway, corporation tax fits nicely into this, I mean, why can't we have US levels of tax whilst at the same time as having Norweigan levels of public spending.. Is it because of all the businesses that will flock to Scotland to take advantage of the pent up energy about to be unleashed with independance..?
A geeky 7-year old with a basic Texas calculator could take apart the SNP economic master plan..
Supermarkets I'm sure Tesco has stated all transportation contracts and arrangements are already in place. There will be no sudden hike in costs. You've already forgotten the SNP promised reduction in corporation tax. I know its your favourite.
I'm only going with what the Waitrose guy said in his interview on TV this morning, as I was lying in bed, avoiding getting out of it.. He never said there would be short term price hikes, but longer term shifts between the two countries. Look at the difference between Ireland and NI if you want an example..
