Hi does anyone have a picture of where the Rear Towing Eye is bolted to the subframe? Best regards, Paul

using one of the 2 larger undertray bolts. (standard allen key bolts if memory serves) use a longer bolt tho obviously as you want have a nice bit of thread holding it on.

fit to either of the large holes in the rear diffuser (the ones that look like pimples in the pic below). Screw is an M8 domed hex head bolt.

I replace the bolts with M8 Hex (or 13mm headed). Much quicker to remove and tend to avoid rounding.

Jim, that's ace. Many thanks you have answered the question I was asking. I didn't want to be attempting to attach a towing eye to a low strength part of the car. I am guessing that attaching at the pimples means the eyes are bolting into the subframe? Thanks everyone and kind regards, Paul

Is just one bolt is sufficient for a strong tow eye (unlike either of the 2 photos). For the front, is the OEM hole the best solution if you don't want anything to break? I have seen a pic. of a tow eye offset throught the front grille, but not sure how it is attached.

front tow eye is shocking and a recipe for disaster i would much rather pull the vx backwards onto a trailor/truck than pull it front ways.. i had to load my vx onto a truck today and kept pushing my spoiler as the jerkyness that the winch was doing was making me very nervous.. as my spoiler is SOLID this reduced jerking but allmost all of it.

The only issue with the rear tow eye I can see is if you get stuck in a gravel trap..... It is under the car and will be rendered useless. Certainly at Brands the thing they use to tow you out would rip you clam to shreds if you tried to use a tow eye like this :(

I was towed out of the gravel at Mallory (my only beach excursion so far) and despite a remarkably smooth pull, the tow eye bend to one side because the tow truck was slightly off centre when it pulled me out.

Man, you buried that deep. At Brands, I was dragged out with a strap round one of the rear wheels. No damage done at all.
