Wheres sizeten gone with his data from le mans? :poke: . Ive got the IC, what do you want to know and how do i record it? Is there anything apart from a scangauge i need and can anybody lend it to me? Ive got a scangauge getting delivered this week so ill be able to rec intake temps, what else? If the weather drys out ill do some long fast road driving and then record on track as well. Snetterton is my first trackday of the year 26th feb, then log data at a different track in summer when its hotter. This debate will go on forever even with recorded data though . . . . . :sleepy:

Scangauge wont really do it. It'll display instant temps or max values but wont actually log any of it. So unless you're driving around watching it, it's not much use for any kind of analysis. See the Torque App thread in the Tuning & Mods section for a cheap but better solution. I'll bring my bluetooth OBDII interface to Snett and we'll do some logging on one of my phones, if you want?

Good plan. thumbsup

Being an SC and having no alternative than to use the built-in charge cooling, I'm not actually bothered about the intercooler vs chargecooler debate (other than to annoy turbobob and his intercooler love-in). But, it would be interesting to see some real graphs, even if they're not hugely scientific and don't necessarily give a definitive answer.

as I'm not a customer of mmg , there is nothing in it for me to promote their stuff. they can datalog this just as easily as I can. If i remember my Xgauge stuff, you can program two new Xgauges but just change the RXD function with RXD: 38 08 for maximum value and RXD: 30 08 for minimum

Does that mean the results were good? No ones asking you to promote it but Aimy and others want to know, so why not share the info? Otherwise why did you bother recording it in the first place?

Ive decided to go for the MMG stage 4 intercooler partly to do with costs but when fitted and mapped I will certainly post some data if no one does in the meantime :-)

When I pull my finger from my arse I'll build a logger that will do the job... IMHO you want ambient, cooler core, pre cooler, post cooler, maybe pressure pre cooler and post cooler too for added fun.
