the codpiece over the old exhaust site is pretty clumsy though, isn't it?

???

Am I missing something out here in Switzerland?

Agree about the treatment of the original exhaust outlet area being clumsy.

This one from MS-Design is neater, but don't ask about the price!

No, its me Speedy ! There was a band in the 70s/80's called Cameo, their singer, Larry Blackmon used to wear a large , red bulge over his trousers in the willy area! the words are lyrics from their biggest hit, Word up'.

Fair enough, Purebob! I didn't emigrate till '82, but don't remember anything about group, song or attire. Must have made an impression on you, though! :P :jump:

I must admit, I didn't used to be a fan of the vertical layout of the VX exhausts...but now I love it and wouldn't have it any other way :)

The MS design rear bumper and exhaust setup looks quite nice, I couldnt find the exhaust details on their website, is the 4 pipe exhaust sold by someone else? I dont think 800 quid odd for a new rear bumper is too bad as longs as its already colour coded :) John

On the page from the link I posted, I think this is it:

Links / Rechtsanlage 90mm Edelstahlrohre mit Raceline Logo 1055.02 EUR

It is made by or at least for MS Design. There was an article about this car in the mag
"Opel Club & Trend" No. 5 August/September 2002. There it states that it's a stainless steel unit with four endpipes from MS Design.

Doubt very much if the rear panel is colour-coded. Even the new factory-fitted boot spoiler for the Turbo isn't according to information in Switzerland. One N/A owner here has already ordered one and says it's so.

Here's more pics of the car, the owner sent me the link

http://www.geiers.de...r/c/Gruber.html

I have just noticed that it is done by www.motortuning.com and they specialise in serious machinery and are not cheap, I wouldn't be surprised if this did not cost over 5000 euros to install, take a look at the tuners gallery pics - a quick F50 :o

Oh. and I hate to admit I was also a Cameo fan - word up Bob!! or this post is a bit 'back and forth, back and forth' :P

I have more info on this upgrade - its apparently pushing out 240bhp but it costs 7000 euros which is quite costly, looking at the pics though, the boot has been butchered to fit the Turbo bits, I will keep an eye out for one on my travels out here. Still think I would prefer an official turbo even if this is cheaper in the short term! John.
