I really hope that the cateram (ex-lotus) team does well this year. I think middle table would be a great result for them.

I hope that big step in the bodywork between the cockpit and the nose cone isn't going to be a regulation driven feature of all of this years cars.

...revised 2012 nose regulations, limiting the front of the nose to a height of just 55cm. However the remaining raised monocoque section between that and the cockpit can be 62.5cm high, so we see the step between these two sections
The cross section of the front bulkhead is defined by the FIA (275mm high & 300mm wide)
Areas below and behind the nose are not allowed to have bodywork (shown yellow in the diagram)

The nose is hideous.
I hope other teams find at least a slightly more attractive solution to the new regulations.
Still looks quite blocky doesn't it?
Lotus are going to be a massive step ahead of HRT and Marussia this year, considering HRT have only recently started designing the car. Good for them I say, they seem to have the right attitude.
