Do they need pads or just clamp the disc? If you need pads where can you get replacements?

they shouldn't ever wear out as it's only a parking brake.

I dont expect them to wear but just wanted to get a better understanding of them as the pictures aren't that clear.

hah, fair enough. Earlier on Steffen said they were based off a hispec spot caliper, but the current version looks different to the earlier photos. If they are still based on the Hispec design then it does use a pad.

The project in the beginning was based on the Hispec spot calipers, but after finding more and more problems with them,

we decided to go on with what we have developed until this point and make the caliper complete by us.

 

There are pads inside which we let make for us, but i think they never have to be changed.
