That looks pretty damn good, wanting to do this to my wheels too.
Can you get it off if you get fed up of it ?

Plastidip is a brilliant product I have been using it for years on all sorts. Good thing is you can just peel it off cleanly with no mess leaving the original finish perfectly fine. Still not cheap though 14 cans would cost in the region of £220!
Works out to be £136 delivered for 14 cans. Better off buying it from the official site as ebay etc sell them for £15+ a can

Yeah I was a bit over the top in that estimate, I have allways gone direct to get mine.
If you had a spray gun that could handle the thickness one of their 5 litre cans would go alot further. Should work OK as it has a certain amount of self levelling as it dries.

that looks great, decent range of colours too, im very tempted, especially if it doesn't damage the paint underneath
There are a few drawbacks you would have to wash the car very gently as since it is effectively a rubber coating it tends to scratch / dent quite easilly. Once a little area has lifted or become exposed for what ever reason you can see from the video above how easilly the rest will follow. Still you could just do the whole panel again in a few minutes if needs be, touch ups don't really look very good as you get different thicknesses on the over lap.
If it was more cost effective I think this sort of thing would be great for the protection of new cars being transported?

So how many cans to do 4x17" Alloys then? Just wondering, might give it a go myself
if you look at dipyourcar.com they do an alloy package, looks like about 3 or 4 cans. I say three as they do seem to give 20 cans for a full car kit. plus it is waaaay cheaper out there.
