Hi all, The other day out of interest i was doing some googling regarding the exige GT3. For those that don't know there were said to be 5 factory GT3 race cars chassis made and 1 concept road car. Anyway during my research i can across this GT3 replica (see link) that was created by plans motorsport. Although Plans website does detail the build, exiges.com say that the GT3 clams were made using molds taken from a spare set of the redbull GT3 race car. Anyway enough from me, check out the attached link an see what you think http://plans.smugmug.com/Other/Lotus-Exige-S2/19363362_RSwrCV/1624091884_KNZ4f4k#!p=3&n=12

Guy over on SELOC called Greg has been doing this for a while now powered by a 650bhp Audi Turbo lump I think - he's aiming for 800bhp / ton!!! He's not showing pics till its done but the few tasters he's put out says it will be one incredible car!

Not going to be exactly cheap either, by the sound of all the bodywork prep that's had to happen so far. :(

So true! Looking at a set of Braids. Not fully decided on sizes yet, but thinking of a 10" rear (didnt want to go too large)

The rear track is 100mm wider - but the large rims and different offset will sort this.

Pic of the Braids.

It does look a bit 211 doesnt it. The rear end with the wide arches do look quality in the flesh though!

The concept car had 255 on the rear. I tink either a 255 or 295 on the rear...not fully decided yet.

Its is a big difference....trying to work out what will be best for the handling, but without looking too small. Swaying towards 255 though - tyres a cheaper too!

Not got a pic of mine to hand, but its the same as the concept car - see below. I've gone for a large carbon rear wing like the one on the Plans car.

FWIW, I think 255's and playing with offsets for the custom wheels is the way ahead. Not sure 295's would do it any massive favours.

i will be testing 255s and 265s to see what i prefer. 295s is a HUGE tyre to big imo but im not sure what engine spec you are going for
