Your car will look awesome mate.
I really like the GT3 look and cannot figure out why Lotus never styled the Exige s like it or ever just release it as a limited run???
I noticed ur location says Leeds? Do you go to the Nyloc meets??
Cheers mate.
Yeah in Leeds. Never bothered with the nyloc meets - too much effort to join!
Not Sure why lotus never ever built the concept car, as they do look quite awesome.

I read somewhere, early GT3s only had 9x17 ET 23 rears
Still I really prefer the later improved aerodynamics style with the plain engine cover
Are you using the OE crashbox and rad surround ?
Not heard that about the offset. Need to gain about 50mm each side, so probably end up close to ET 0 - Still need to do the exact calcs once I've measured the track accurately.
Using the standard crashbox. The alloy gt3 ones used on the race cars shouldn't really be used on the road anyway. The front clam would go straight onto the vx. The exige has a slighter shorter wheelbase though so the rear clam would need custom wishbones to fit.

i remeber seeing it a oulton park and it had huge spacers between the hub and the wheels at the rear

i was going to say the exact same thing (though it was at brands) and i think it was discussed here at the time with pics.

IIRC it was doing the rounds with the first LoT racing series.

looks awesome!
how do you plan on spacing the rear wheels out?
Cheers mate.
Actually causing me a head ache....the lotus has a 4x100 vauxhall type hubs, Was after 17/18 wheel combo with a 18x10 rim on the rear. The problem is I need ET-10 which not many wheel mancufactures do negative offsets these days, and nobody seems to do them in the vauxhall fitment.
So its looking like I will need a custom set of wheels. Braid are my top choice, but at £800 per wheel they are pretty expensive. Add some decent tyres to this, and I wont have much change from £5k!! TD's are probably the sensible option....just not a fan of the multispokes on the car.
The other alternative is to go for really big spacers....but I'm trying to avoid this!

Does it have a hinged front clam?
No, but it is on aero catches. As the car will be used on the road, we did add a few more fastenings to what you would on a race car. Still comes off in about 5-10 minutes though. Same with the rear.
