Federal RS-R , the wider 235/40/17 seem to be back in stock at mytyres and at a good price ,
235/40/17 ( wide rims) £80
and also fronts back in and cheap
205/45/16 fronts £64.50
the 235/45/17 , for standard rear rims £77.80

I just got a set of R1R for the bathtub and a pair of Michelin van tyres, cheapest by far and delivered within a couple of days, result.

Blimey. That's 10 quid or so less than I paid from tyreleader. Do these tyres get any better value? Still interested in how they perform on track. Haven't been out on mine yet.
For the money they perform very well on track, If you want the best then its Toyo 888s ,you have to pay the price.

I guess you get what you pay for. If the rsr's get 85% close to the 888's then for the money that's bang onFor the money they perform very well on track, If you want the best then its Toyo 888s ,you have to pay the price.Blimey. That's 10 quid or so less than I paid from tyreleader. Do these tyres get any better value? Still interested in how they perform on track. Haven't been out on mine yet.

the 235/40 are still in very good shape , it was just the fronts that were giving me some exit understeer at Spa on Monday. Tbh the fronts were bought in 2012 and have loads of heat cycles in them , but still giving good grip in wet+dry.
This will be my fourth set of RS-R rears, and second set of fronts.
I was very tempted to just go with a 235/45 as I have two sets of TD1.2 7.5J rears
